Mystery on the Internet, an attacker reveals the tricks of the global warming
The news is that hundreds of internal e-mails of the Research Center Climate Change (Cru)
University East Anglia in England ended up on the Internet Thursday night after an attack by a hacker. The file appeared on an FTP site (which is used to transfer electronic documents) Russian and contains private correspondence between scientists, also known to the general public, who has been studying the phenomenon of climate change and global warming.
A spokesman for the University, approached by the Gazette,
confirmed the attack: "We are aware that some information on a server used for research in an area of \u200b\u200bour universities has been made available for public Internet sites. In effetti il server russo è stato rimosso dopo poche ore, quando però il materiale aveva già fatto il giro della rete ed era disponibile altrove, oltre che commentato su moltissimi blog. (così riportano i siti internet che sostengono di essersi letti il materiale in questione) che sarebbe il programma usato per costruire il dataset delle temperature medie superficiali i cui dati provengono dalle osservazioni sparse per il mondo (sia terrestri sia superficiali) e, dopo essere stati trattati, ovvero normalizzati in una griglia, corretti in base a molti parametri (tra cui il coefficiente di correzione per le isole di calore, per esempio), vengono mediati su scala spaziale globale e su scala temporale mensile. Il dataset si chiama Hadcrut3 ed è una delle fonti più accreditate nello studio dell’andamento delle temperature: nonostante le tante richieste di molti scienziati, questo codice non era mai stato rilasciato per intero.
